WIGS: Happy New Year’s Greetings
Women’s International Group South is a group whose aim is to provide a social milieu to build friendships and support group members for English-speaking women of all nationalities that reside in areas located in the Southern part of Attica, Greece. The group operates on a “volunteer” basis and the volunteer activities by the members of WIGS are related to social networking and supporting local community charities. WIGS was formed in 2008. Saronida Attika.

Special thanks go to WIGS member Alkistis Agiorgiti who hosted WIGS Christmas Party at her beautiful home last month (17/12/2010). Many thanks are also extended to our WIGS Choir members and Raymond Caldwell who provided lots of Christmas cheer with their performance of a variety of Christmas carols! The choir did an excellent job and this is even more amazing considering that they have only just started! We wish everyone a very Happy New Year! May the New Year bring good health and much happiness. 
WIGS Charity Committee Visits the Constantinopolitan Rest Home, Palea Phokea.
On 16 December, the WIGS Charity Committee joined forces with the WIGS Choir to bring Christmas cheer to the residents of the Constantinopolitan Rest Home. Several members also donated biscuits, cake, and sandwiches to offer for a tea. The residents were very happy to see us and enjoyed the excellent performance provided by the WIGS Choir which sang carols in several different languages, including Greek.
Many thanks go to those WIGS members who braved the cold, rain, and lots of mud in order to reach the home and for offering such a wonderful Christmas gift to others in need!
